Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the iBookeeping websites, applications and services (collectively, the "Services") provided by iBookeeping ("iBookeeping", "we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Your account
You must provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. Accounts are for the organization that registers them; you may invite users, and you remain responsible for their use of the Services.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You may not misuse the Services, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with normal operation, reverse engineering the platform, reselling the Services without our written consent, uploading malicious code, or using the Services to store or transmit unlawful, infringing or fraudulent content.
3. Your data
You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Services, including your customer, invoice, expense and accounting records ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process and transmit Customer Data solely to operate and support the Services. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit Customer Data and for the accuracy of records you keep in the Services.
4. Trials, subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on the billing cycle you select and are quoted in USD per organization unless stated otherwise. Free trials give you access to the applicable plan for the stated trial period; you can cancel at any time during or after a trial. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change our prices, and we will give you reasonable notice before a change affects your subscription. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access.
5. Availability and support
We work to keep the Services available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, release updates, and modify or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance.
6. Not professional advice
iBookeeping is bookkeeping and accounting software. Reports, summaries, insights and other outputs are provided for your convenience and do not constitute accounting, tax, audit, legal or financial advice. You are responsible for reviewing your records and for meeting your own statutory, tax and filing obligations, and should consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
7. Third-party services
The Services may integrate with third-party products such as authentication providers, payment gateways, email and storage services. Your use of those products is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their availability, content or practices.
8. Intellectual property
The Services, including all software, design, text, graphics, trademarks and documentation, remain the property of iBookeeping and its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you other than the limited right to use the Services while your account is active and in good standing.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your use poses a security or legal risk to us or other users. Following termination, your data is removed in line with the retention periods set out in our Privacy Policy. Export any records you need before closing your account.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, iBookeeping will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data, and our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you, for example by email or through a notice in the Services. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
